Now in its 9th year, Coach Russ’s Catching Academy is a hands-on, intense,
instructional program designed to give catchers an all around
approach to improving.
Academy classes will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Flexibility, strength and stretch routines

Stance recognition (traditional vs non- traditional)

Receiving techniques (flexion, extension and the why/when)

Blocking (all stance sets)

Throwing
-
Pop Time, Exchange and Transfer

Tag plays/Pop ups (positioning, set up)

Pitch calling
-
Mental Approach & In Game Situation Leadership

Video analysis/breakdown
-
Hitrax Metrics/Probatter Simulator
The 2024 clinics will include our amazing coaches,
along with current college/pro players and guest visits by college coaches featuring:
